I pray that Just for today You help me Not to hate people Quite so much It’s probably too much To ask that I love people Or even like them
Tough love, maybe Like when CELLPHONE ZOMBIES Block my way Zigzagging, staggering Drifting like drunks Up and down sidewalks and stairwells I don’t mind running into them Knocking them down Showing them A thing or two That kind of love Comes easily to me
But hatred takes a lotta work And I’m too old these days to carry that load I just wanna be able to walk down the sidewalk And smile at the ones Who look my way And not hate the ones Who don’t At least not so much
This is no good prayer!
This is between me and God.
I think this is hilarious!
