Midnight Cowboy bickering

Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight in “Midnight Cowboy”

Friday nights, I park cars at Zapatista in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago (Clark, just north of Fullerton). Two homeless men serve as regular companions for me on this shift. They sit on a pair of milk crates, across the street from me, bickering endlessly like an old married couple. Reminds me of scenes from “Midnight Cowboy“.

“What’d you say about my mother?”

“I said your mother won’t put up with your shit. That’s an insult to you, not your mother, you dumbass!”

“You BETTER run!”

“You’re crazy, man!”

“I’ll cut you, I will!”

And so on. Kinda makes me homesick.
